As we all know, as soon as the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve, most of the country becomes fitness fanatics desperate to rid the delightful food that the holiday period brings with it. Why not make some changes now to your property to gain a head start in 2021?

1. Natural Light: As most of us know, light is very important for us humans and natural lighting plays a vital role in our health and wellbeing. Light can have an impact on our hormone and melatonin levels, so it is important to retain as much natural lighting in possible. Open plan layout tends to be the most forgiving when it comes to maintaining natural lighting. Artificial light-emitting devices such as TVs and computers can cause issues such as headaches and can make it harder for you to fall asleep. Therefore, if you have the space to do so, why not limit your electronic devices to one room or ban all electronics from a specific area in your home.
2. Air purity: If you have recently renovated your property or have perhaps moved into a new-build home, you may find that there are a large number of dust particles remaining in the air. This can be damaging to your health especially in conjunction with other underlying health issues. Even in older properties, dust can be an issue. There are plenty of air purifiers on the market nowadays and you will be surprised as to how powerful they can be.
3. Home Gyms: These are often seen as a luxury amenity in homes however, they do not have to be. If you keep an eye out on websites such as eBay, you can often score a good deal and thus begin to build a home gym for much less than buying the goods from new. With everyone’s busy schedules these days, it can make it much easier for you to keep up with your goals. It can also make your property look more appealing if viewers see that you have enough room for a home gym.
4. Bringing the outdoors in: Whether your property features a large garden or none at all, it is important to feature the outdoor, indoors! Plants make an excellent decorative piece and draw the eye due to their often-vibrant colours. As we all know, plants take in carbon dioxide and produce oxygen which we as humans then breathe so it is a win-win – duh!
