Another WIN! Gloucestershire Business Awards

By lucmin on 21st October 2019

2019 has certainly seen Move Sales & Lettings go from strength to strength with 80% of new business coming in from recommendations, and numerous awards presented to recognise the work that we do.

Now there is another accolade to add to the shelf. At this years’ Gloucestershire Business Awards Move’s Managing Director George Tatham-Losh was crowned Young Business Person of the Year.

The award was open to both young entrepreneurs that are enjoying success in building their own business’ and employees that have an outstanding impact in contributing to the success of a larger organisation.

Competition was tough with Gloucestershire thriving with talented individuals throughout the county. Applicants needed to demonstrate ambition, energy, skill and vision, as well as tangible business success.

Plus, finalists were judged on personal involvement in the company’s growth or expansion, its move into new products, services, markets or new areas of business activity.

Aged 29, George is proud to be Managing Director of one of the fastest growing residential property businesses in the region, and earlier this year Move Sales & Lettings won gold in the British Property Awards. Over the last 12 months Move has also won two consecutive awards at the Estate and Letting Agents Awards too.

From humble beginnings George started his first business with just £1,000 in the bank along with a laptop and now he’s responsible for all aspects of the business from sales to lettings, business development, finance and marketing.

Established in 2013, George launched Move at the age of just 23 and now has two offices – one in Cheltenham and the other in Gloucester which opened in the Spring of 2018.

On winning the Young Business Person of the Year Award George said: “I am delighted to have won the award however I could not have done it without my fantastic team behind me.”

This isn’t his first time George has been recognised for the work that he does. In the last year alone George has won the Circle 2 Success Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and was featured in the 2018 Business & Innovation Managing ‘35 Business Leaders under 35’.

Always looking to inspire the next generation George is driven to create quality employment opportunities for young people to develop their skills. Not only that he also specialises in helping individuals establish and build high yielding property portfolios.

Away from the day to day job, George ensures that Move is involved with community activities as well. Over the last 18 months they have sponsored a major local charity golf day and organised two charity fundraising events that raised nearly £3,000 for two different Gloucestershire charities.

The Gloucestershire Business Awards event, held at Cheltenham Racecourse, has been running for more than two decades. Hosted by presenter June Sarpong, it was an evening of celebration for all those involved and the Young Business Person of the Year Award, sponsored by Renishaw, acknowledged the hard work and talent of entrepreneurs under the age of 35.
